The funny thing is we bring in tons of speakers from Canada. Why not have Canadians speak to Canadians? The problem is it's a totally different culture...similar in some ways but really different in lots of others. Like hockey for example, they just don't get how crazy we get and we have no clue how baseball is their national past time... NFL maybe.
Great article...it's true we can learn alot from them and they can learn alot from us.
Did you notice the arrogance in the article though?..."you might be shocked to know our friends across the border can actually teach us something."
I don't like the arrogance of the Americans but if we are honest we think we are better than them.
Let's work together to use our strengths and their strengths together.
I'm a former youth pastor trying to become a marketplace missionary. I'm married to a wonderful woman named Wanda and have been for 11+ years. We have recently adopted a beautiful girl whom we named Annalise.

very interesting. I think we should definitely be helping each other, and learning from our various strengths and weaknesses.
I was just thinking today that I have know several American missionaries in British Columbia. Shouldn't it go the other way too? I think so.
